Things seem to be getting pretty serious between Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris! The superstar couple have clearly been getting closer and closer over recent months, and reports suggest 25-year-old Taylor is planning to take things one giant leap across the Atlantic further by snapping up a gorgeous listed property, close to Calvin’s family in Scotland.
The hot property in question is known as the ‘Tower of Lethendy’, and lies 14 miles to the north of Perth. With its own 18-hole golf course, luxury swimming pool and eight beautiful bedrooms, the historic property certainly has what it takes to cater for the lavish desires of the world’s top-earning pop couple. Taylor will need to splash a considerable chunk of those crazy earnings if she intends to purchase the property, which is valued at an eye-watering £4.6million.
If Swift were to make this major buy, tongues would surely be set wagging amongst celeb followers around the world – buying a property based just an hour away from her beau’s family in Edinburgh could suggest that the couple are thinking of making a long-term commitment in the not-too-distant future. The Tower of Lethendy is currently run as a wedding venue, so how fitting would it be if its purchase were to pave the way for Taylor’s very own special day?
Speculation of this type does come with a caveat: remember that time in 2012, when Taylor bought a $4.8 million Cape Cod home next door to her now-ex-boyfriend Conor Kennedy in Cape Cod? In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she quipped: “People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like. If I like you I will apparently buy up the real estate market just to freak you out so you leave me.”
We somehow doubt Calvin would have any complaints to make at the prospect of joining Taylor at the magnificent Tower of Lethendy. When quizzed about the pair’s relationship by Kiss FM, the Scots heartthrob responded: “It’s going absolutely fantastic,” before revealing that if they were to wed he “would still be like insanely happy with her so I’m good with it.” A fairy tale wedding in Scotland could be on the horizon!
