Check out the Beautiful Home one Family Bought with a World Record Lottery Win

The Robinson family of Munford, Tennessee joined the ranks of the biggest lottery winners of all time on January 13th 2016, when they claimed a share of a world record lottery win in America’s leading game, Powerball. The Robinsons initially said the $600 million windfall would not radically change their lifestyle, but after half a year they appear to have changed their minds…

The Robinson family home in Tennessee

Here, in all its glory, is the new home the Robinson family bought with their astonishing win. The lavish property boasts an impressive ten bedrooms and eight bathrooms – more than adequate to luxuriously accommodate the family and a whole host of their friends and relatives.

Imagine sinking into these luxuriously upholstered movie theatre seats

Of course, there’s more to a luxury mansion than the type of rooms you’d find in any ordinary house, no matter how decadently designed and decorated they may be. The Robinsons’ property caters for a fabulous up-scale lifestyle with a banqueting hall, a private movie theatre, a double garage and a roaring stove out in the yard. The property boasts uninterrupted views of the spectacular Tennessee countryside, and al fresco dining is sumptuously catered for by wooden jetties stretching out onto its private lake.

This property is a stunning example of rootsy American architecture and interior design – albeit with a contemporary twist. Expertly treated wood is prevalent throughout the interior, from the flooring and wall panels to the mezzanine railings and furniture. The end result is a desirable combination of luxurious design with a deeply traditional feel.

No expense has been spared in the design of this property, from the leather recliners in the movie theatre to the elegant chandeliers hung in nearly every room. The stone fireplace in the master bedroom would have to be one of our favourite touches.

Many of the most luxurious homes on the property market are purchased by lucky lottery winners. If you enjoyed this article, take a look at this post from 2015, featuring photographs from a new home purchased by one of the UK’s biggest ever lottery winners.
